A Field Service Engineer job in Plymouth, MI is available courtesy of Modis. If you have dealership experience and experience supporting customer field staff regarding various automotive products then you are asked to apply to this position. In this role you will be responsible for supporting engineering and manufacturing on continuous improvement activities. Field Service Engineer job responsibilities include:
Provide both technical and quality support information to various teams. Support continuous improvement activities and collect OEM field data. Investigate customer complaints regarding company products. Support customer field staff regarding function and performance of company products. Travel to dealers, assembly plants, and other customer sites as needed. About 20% travel. QUALIFICATIONS: Mechanical Engineering or other technical related degree desired but not required. At least three (3+) years of automotive experience required. Strong mechanical aptitude required, along with a technical understanding of automatic transmissions. Dealership experience strongly preferred. Excellent communication and teamwork skills are required. Familiarity with software and vehicle test equipment is preferred. Knowledge of NVH sound equipment, VIMS, CAN, DIAGRA, CAL VIEW. The ability to travel 20% of the time.
