Job Description

Bosch Chassis Controls is offering a paid student internship. The internship program will provide the student with relevant skills in a variety of areas via on-the-job training.

This position will include performing engineering analysis tasks for new brake system application projects and product improvements, learning and executing test procedures, and performing product testing. You will be involved in all aspects of validation engineering for brake actuation components.

Responsibilities will include:

  1. Conduct lab testing per established procedures
  2. Reduce and analyze component and system test data
  3. Conduct post-test product disassembly and analysis
  4. Solve engineering related problems with analytical or physical tests
  5. Support test engineering team in the creation and fulfillment of the Design Verification Plan and Report (DVP&R) for conventional and new brake system actuation products

Qualifications

  • Working toward a degree in mechanical, or equivalent engineering curriculum.
  • Able to work 24+ hrs per week while maintaining ongoing university studies.
  • Able to use Microsoft excel, word, and powerpoint.
  • Works well independently and in teams.
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Able to think critically and use good judgment to solve engineering problems.
  • Should be a "hands-on" person.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment a plus.
  • Interested in learning about brake actuation products.
  • Knowledge of brake systems (boosters, master cylinders, calipers, rotors, etc) is a plus, but not required.
  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university.
  • Pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree with at least one semester completed.
  • Minimum of overall GPA of at least 3.0.
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
