Job Description
Engineering Responsibilities:
- Responsible for design and development of brake actuation products supplied to OEM's including the responsibility for product release, product improvements, and customer driven changes.
- Candidate will utilize APQP to lead customer application programs from new business acquisition until end of production. Responsibilities include: product design, customer interface, validation testing, participating on manufacturing cross-functional teams, supporting supplier and plant manufacturing process development, and on-going production support.
- Detailed design activities will include:
- Drawing creation, release, and updates.
- Engineering stack-ups, DFMEAs, and DRBFMs.
- Procuring prototype hardware for testing and customer samples.
- Validation plan generation and data analysis.
- Leading design reviews with customers, manufacturing, and suppliers.
- Travel Expectation: Ability to travel internationally is required (<5%).
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- 2+ years of engineeringexperiencefrom work or internship.
Preferred Qualifications:
- BS in Mechanical Engineering, BS in Automotive Engineering, BS in Mechatronics.
- Application engineering experience, dealing with OEMs.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes (aluminum casting, machining, stampings, and molded plastic components) and knowledge of semi-automated assembly.
- Brake booster, brake master cylinder, or brake system experience.
- Working knowledge related to electric motors and ECUs.
- Ability to speak Spanish, German, and/or Japanese.
