Job Description

This position includes systems engineer responsibilities of advanced camera based driver assistance development. The ideal candidate would be highly self-motivated and have the willingness to dive right in and enjoys tackling and solving complex challenges on a daily basis. Strong collaborator, able to work with others to understand and clarify requirements. You will work directly with an entire development team including software developers, fellow application / calibration engineers, hardware engineersand project managers to develop project specific solutions for driver assistance and/or automated driving technologies.

Below is a highlight of the things you would being working on:

  • Interface with customer to specify product specification and customer requirement elicitation about camera systems.
  • Analyze customer requirement and develop solutions, system definition, system layout, system specification, etc.
  • Lead and drive all customer change requests
  • Define vehicle level impact based on changes at component level
  • Define and carry out the functionality testing based on prototype for proof of design concept, analyze testing result to evaluate functionality.
  • Cooperation with design and validation team for component and layout optimization.
  • Understanding of vehicle architecture, vehicle communication (CAN, CAN FD, Ethernet, Flexray,), vehicle dynamics and driver assistance Interfaces
  • Able to perform vehicle level trouble shooting and diagnostics
  • Work out component specification of outsourcing part, support purchasing activities.
  • Support for the definition of test cases / test strategy, validation specifications analyze and document test data / results.
  • Preparation customer technical documentation and entire camera system release.
  • Presentation of the own work results in internal teams and in customer meetings.
  • Responsible for evaluating customer specifications and translating them intosystem requirements in Rational DOORS,
  • Develop System architecture (functional and technical) to assist sub component teams evaluate requirements and test coverage, and support issue / defect tracking
  • Ensure system development, validation and delivery according to guidelines and Bosch processes
  • Support test drives with customer
  • First point of contact for OEM for system development, prepare technical presentations for customer
  • Drives and participates in developing the functional safety concept (ASIL rating and HRA) and agreement with customer.
  • Completes, reviews and approves (as applicable and required) Safety, FMEAs, and Risk assessments, and Hazard analysis.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering
  • 3+ years of work experience with the system engineering and SW development
