This is what you'll do: - Act as Subject Matter Expert for Outbound Logistics related systems, including yard management, claims and transportation management systems (TMS) - Align with IT and other stakeholders, both internal and external, to ensure Outbound systems support business needs - Identify and drive enhancements in systems used to support outbound vehicle distribution - Identify, document and drive improvements in methods of using systems within Outbound, including processes and desk procedures - Act as key contributor in the development of TMS provider service level requirements - Draft system level requirements and perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) - Escalate systems issues and coordinate resolution - Establish and maintain route set-up in TMS and ensure seamless implementation of new routes or deviations - Resolve errors in TMS, and work to avoid reoccurrence - Initiate and support EDI set-up and issue resolution between carriers and TMS provider - Coordinate with Accounting and carriers for set-up of carrier self-billing - Leverage data to identify exception or waste trends and work across teams to develop and measure corrective actions - Develop, document and roll out logistics processes as needed - Collaborate with Customs and IT teams to ensure that systems support Free Trade Zone requirements - Act as back up and support for other roles within the Outbound Logistics team - Provide a customer-oriented approach to support the internal customers This is what you'll need: - Detailed oriented! - Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, business, or related field - 5+ years of experience with using a TMS for finished vehicle shipment, and preferably TMS launch experience - Thorough understanding of IT processes and procedures relative to system launch, drafting system level requirements and UAT, and roll out of enhancements - Flexibility to think methodically and act tactically - Ability to develop and interpret business intelligence/data to drive execution and decision-making - In-depth understanding of logistics' relationships with other parts of the automotive ecosystem - Ability to explain complex issues to a variety of audiences, think about the big picture when communicating, and report technical details succinctly - Expert user in MS Excel - ability to create pivot table and sophisticated charts, i.e. multiple axis and data series, use of short cuts, and VLOOKUP functionality - Flexibility to step into other roles as needed - Ability to travel up to 25% of the time - Positive attitude and good sense of humor!
