IT Communications Analyst

Michigan, Pontiac, 48340 Pontiac USA

Vacancy expired!

The Information Technology Analyst will be responsible for planning and executing initiatives designed to help our enormous Information Technology team (110+ leaders, 1,100+ team members) communicate and collaborate more efficiently and effectively. The IT Communications Specialist will likely report directly to a senior IT leader, while also working closely with the IT Business Specialist and various leaders throughout IT to improve existing processes and create new ones surrounding how we communicate, amplify our various teams' goals, progress, and successes, and engage our team with important, relevant, and interesting updates and information. The team member in this role will be required to stay informed about the current status of multiple teams, projects, and initiatives, so that they can succinctly communicate those statuses to other leaders and teams quickly and accurately.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Spearheading the execution of proposed ideas, from collecting research, to developing an implementation plan and time-line, to carrying out that plan, gathering feedback and pivoting, as needed, along the way.
  • Collaborating with leaders and team members across IT to identify opportunities for improvement and create solution-oriented action plans.
  • Planning and facilitating both virtual and in-person meetings and events, including coordinating with appropriate teams throughout the company.
  • Writing blog posts, and collaborating with other authors as an editor, for an internal blog on a variety of topics.
  • Writing and editing other copy, often as a ghost-writer, as assigned by leaders on a case-by-case basis.
  • Assisting in the production of internal educational videos, including, potentially, pre-interviewing guests and scripting content.
  • Supporting the ongoing efforts of our teams and leaders, as well as our Women In Technology team member resource group.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

  • Experience in writing and editing compelling content, and will be able to share writing samples upon request.
  • Strong multi-tasking skills, with the ability to simultaneously drive multiple projects, in different stages, forward.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including ability to create a wide variety of materials in a timely manner.
  • Curiosity, with a drive to learn more about new concepts, ideas, and technologies.
  • Detail-oriented, with the ability to manage projects from inception through execution.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a willingness to take initiative, while juggling several priorities.
  • Ability to both work independently and collaboratively, with a positive attitude, a 'yes' mentality, and the ability to connect and build relationships quickly.
  • Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle, Agile methodologies, and Confluence is a plus.
