The Customer Project Manager will coordinate and manage defined capital and non-capital projects that support the Drug Products plant. This will likely include capital equipment installations, and may also include product transfer projects, new product commercialization/launch activities internal to the site, cost improvement projects, Right First-Time initiatives, and safety and compliance driven initiatives for Drug Product Operations.

In this role the Project Manager will:

  • Responsible for the development of key processes and systems to organize/track and communicate status to multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Responsible for the planning and execution of their assigned projects or phases within a project, associated budgets, timelines and other project specific deliverables within the scope of the initiative/project.
  • All positions will identify and implement cost savings ideas, specifically line efficiency improvements and other projects that increase equipment capacity.
  • All positions may also investigate deviations that occur on the manufacturing floor. Performs root-cause analysis and identifies appropriate, effective corrective actions. Implements corrective actions in conjunction with the appropriate enabling groups, i.e. engineering, maintenance, quality, validation, environmental health and safety.
  • Individuals will work within a multidisciplinary project team and/or active manufacturing operations team. The teams will include other area engineers, contract engineering and automation firms, area shop floor operators, Drug Product Technology, Quality Operations, Microbiology, Environmental Health and Safety, Quality Laboratories, and Maintenance

Requirements:

  • BA/BS plus a minimum of 3 years experience OR MS plus a minimum of 2 years experience in a science or engineering related field
  • Experience in a pharmaceuticals or in other manufacturing environments, preferably in liquid filling and/or equipment sterilization
  • Specific knowledge of and experience with cGMP and/or medical device regulations
  • Specific knowledge of and experience with Drug Product processing and equipment
  • Able to apply solid reasoning skills to process development and investigations. Strong written and verbal communication skills required. Strong organizational skills and flexibility in handling a variety of assignments.
  • Successful candidates for project manager roles have demonstrated project management skills and must be familiar with tools and techniques required to manage large scale complex projects through multi-disciplinary teams.
  • The positions requires lifting, sitting, standing, walking, work weekends as needed to support a 24x7x365 operation.
  • Position may require growing qualification for classified space from Grade D to Grade C.
