Bay Cast Technologies is currently hiring for a qualified Machinist to operate a CNC Vertical Boring Mill (VBM)./ Vertical Turret Lathe (VTL) Machinist. Shift Hours are Monday-Thursday 3:30pm - 4am.
Bay Cast Technologies is part of the Bay Cast Companies; A Family owned small business in Bay City, Michigan providing Steel Castings and Large format Machining Services to the Automotive, Aerospace, Defense, Power Generation, Mining, and Machine Tool industries.
Responsibilities:
Extensive programming support provided; machinist will be expected to work off per-established programming and set up sheets. The candidate must be capable reading blue prints, performing setups (dimensionally balancing castings and fabrications). Following and editing G-code programs. Performing offsets and in-process inspections. This is a precision, large format job shop machining position.
Experience/Qualifications
3-5 years of job shop, prototype, or aerospace CNC work. Preferably working with large scale parts
G&M Code knowledge
Blueprint reading
Experience with Siemens Control is a plus
Ability to setup, operate, trouble shoot, and change tools as needed
Ability to edit programs
Good communicator
