Apollo Fire Apparatus Repair, Inc. is seeking qualified applicants for an opening as an apprentice service technician for fire rescue equipment.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Service and repair HURST Extrication Rescue equipment both in shop and on the road in State of Michigan
- Diagnosis and repair of Fans, Chain Saws and other small equipment
- Annual service to in-state (lower Michigan) fire departments on Extrication Rescue Equipment
- Maintain accurate inventory, work orders, customer lists and Warranty requests
- In house and in state mobile service (only in Michigan)
Requirements for the successful candidate include:
- Valid driver's license (CDL-B a plus)
- Clean driving record
- Past background in small engine repair, rescue equipment repair, auto repair, hydraulics, electronics
- Excellent customer service skills, both verbal and written
-Ability to work some overtime as needed
-Capable of lifting 75 lbs. as needed
-Willingness to work in other areas in our operation as needed
Training will be provided and some specialized training will take place out of state.
Those with small engine repair, hydraulics repair or electronics background will be considered. Entry level position with potential for future advancement. Please e-mail both resume and salary requirements. No phone calls at this time.
