Primary responsibilities:

  • Senior level position
  • Working closely with architecture group (investigating new tech, implementing new tech, etc.)
  • Responsible for process of doc and training support groups on new tech
  • Final escalation point in the event of incidents with new techs - expect that escalation process will be 25% of the role, rest is development/higher level tasks
  • 100% Remote if needed
  • MUST HAVES:
  • 5+ years' experience
  • Tech: in-depth knowledge of Active Directory in large environment (10,000 users and up); managing AD users, group policies, security components, authentication; overall Windows experience outside of AD (core Windows server functionality, use of Cloud services in Windows environment)

    Position Summary:
  • qualified candidate for this position will be a member of a Server Engineering team focused on providing advanced implementation and support of Active Directory technologies. This individual will work closely with various groups including Enterprise Infrastructure Architecture, Security and Production support teams.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Advanced support and design of enterprise-level infrastructure services with a focus Microsoft Active Directory and related technology.
  • Serves as escalation point for support and operations teams.
  • Design and implement new technical solutions in collaboration with architecture and engineering teams.
  • Serves as an advanced escalation point for domain technology issues that cannot be resolved by tier one and two server support.
  • Install, configure, and maintain Active Directory and related technologies.
  • Create and maintain system documentation for infrastructure technologies, including installation, configuration, and appropriate troubleshooting steps.
  • Maintain Lear's Active Directory delegation toolset such as Quest Active Roles.
  • Perform integration of Merger and Acquisition targets focused on fast integration to meet business demands
  • Basic Qualifications\Professional Skills:
  • B.S. degree in a computer science, information technology, computer related discipline or 7+ years IT work experience in a multi-site global infrastructure environment.
  • Must show a progressive advancement in responsibility including deep troubleshooting technical skills.
  • Team Player with proven leadership, communication, organizational, and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated, with keen attention to detail and excellent judgment skills
  • Technical Skills/Experience:
  • Expert Knowledge in Microsoft technologies including Active Directory, Federation, Windows File Services, and Group Policies.
  • Expert knowledge in administering Active Directory, GPO's, ADFS, PKI
  • Expert knowledge of Windows Server operating systems 2008 - 2019.
  • Expert knowledge of DNS, DHCP, WINS
  • Strong working knowledge of PowerShell for administration of above listed technologies
  • Knowledge of third party solutions for management, automation, and authentication
  • Knowledge of cloud based infrastructure solutions from Azure and AWS.
  • Knowledge of server virtualization technologies including VMware and/or Microsoft technologies
