SAP Supply Chain Business Analyst Location : Southfield Michigan SUMMARY: The SAP Supply Chain Business Analyst will report to Manager - SAP OTC/SCM. The role is positioned to providing support, enhancement, and growth responsibilities for our SAP environments. This role is the primary liaison between the Procure to Pay Management business teams and Information Systems to support and build the necessary relationships to provide solutions and continuous improvements. Advanced knowledge of SAP's Procurement, Master Data Management, SAP WM, SAP Production and Demand Planning concepts as well as an understanding of related SAP modules in addition to business analysis, processes and problem solving are key capabilities for this role. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • This role will build key relationships with the Supply Chain Management and Procure to Pay stakeholders and users on the use and adoption of SAP
  • Identify improvement opportunities in business processes or systems
  • Application support and training of end users
  • Management of enhancement and break fix queues for application support, prioritization for release planning
  • Creation of system and user acceptance test plans
  • Responsible for system testing and assisting the business in completing user acceptance testing
  • Acting as the primary point of contact between various business departments and the offshore and Internal SAP support teams
  • Cross functional work with analysts from other systems or business areas
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 7 10 years of relevant experience in the field
  • Experienced SAP Business Analyst with a background in Supply Chain Management with direct experience in Procurement, Master Data Management, SAP WM, SAP Production and Demand Planning
  • Implementation and configuration experience is required
  • Must be proficient in business process analysis, documentation, process mapping and process flows
  • Must have experience in gathering, defining, analyzing, and documenting business requirements
  • SAP and Fiori experience is an asset
  • Two or three full cycle implementations is an asset
  • Experience in supply chain and/or information technology departments or functions
  • Strong communication and organization skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines
Job Description The OTC Business Analyst will report to the Director, SAP This "hands on" role will interface with KIK business areas, its managers and system users to define, design, implement, train and provide on-going support. This position will work closely with an extended cross functional team of Business Analysts, Basis and Integration consultants who are subject matter experts in various modules of SAP and various other tools used within KIK. The incumbent will have subject matter expertise in one or more of the above-mentioned areas. This role will also assist, and coordinate aspects of on-going cross-functional projects as required. As an OTC Business Analyst, you will be responsible for the development, implementation and on-going management of an integrated solutions strategy, while balancing relationship, KIK management expectations, with the goal to optimize operating costs, achieve savings while provide superior customer service through the development and deployment of solutions, using best practices and industry expertise to provide a solution that meets our requirements. Responsibilities
  • Understand key business needs and provide solutions with compelling value propositions that align with SAP capabilities
  • Deliver innovative business consulting, business process design, systems integration and application design
  • Coordinate with internal and external resources to complete detailed design proposed solutions
  • Lead the development and documentation of the technical requirements and Application Design
  • Assist with developing the roadmap that integrates solutions across various businesses
  • Lead the identification and resolution of gaps and inconsistencies
  • Accountable for successful execution, as the solution is implemented and the solution transitions to regular operations. Accountable from startup phase until successful hand off to operations is completed
  • Provide guidance to the team through problem definition, issue identification and work plan development using problem solving principles and experience
  • Coach and mentor other team members and conduct knowledge sharing activities
  • Responsible for planning an approach for defining, documenting, categorizing, and packaging requirements for projects and initiatives
  • Liaise with business management, IT management, vendors and partners in project related matters as well as lead discussion on strategic direction and best fit alternatives or to align IT plans with Business strategic plans
  • Conduct meetings and data discovery sessions
  • Provide subject matter expertise for internal & external auditors, programmers, consultants, vendors and business analysts
  • Provide direction through leadership and decision making to team members/management in matters related to system products, design development strategy, estimates, options, alternative approaches, impacts of decisions, procedures, costs benefit analysis, cost effective solutions and critical paths for projects
  • Keep abreast of current trends, practices and technological developments related to the SAP OTC and related solutions
  • Interacting with internal teams to solicit system-level technical requirements and resolve technical issues
  • Advanced knowledge and ability to configure and support SAP OTC applications through use of SDLC practices and troubleshooting
  • Advanced ability to research and analyze current and new technologies to make recommendations that meet the changing needs of our business, assist in the development of business requirement documents templates, test scripts / test scenarios, business processes and procedures, work instructions, and other detailed user related and documentation to support standard configuration
  • Identify and drive opportunities for business process improvements and redesign either in existing systems or by adopting new functionalities available in other systems, while demonstrating project and program management leadership
  • Ensures adherence to established change management processes
  • Availability to participate in on-call and after-hour support
Qualifications & Skills Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management and or Supply Chain Management, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, Business Administration or other related discipline
  • Strong understanding of current technology trends, overseeing the implementation of systems, technology and controls to improve efficiency and evaluate, identify and selection of new technologies
  • Proven expertise in architecting and implementing SAP solutions, especially in the SAP OTC space
  • Effective communication skills to interact with various internal and external contacts to problem solve, analyze, and improve upon systems
  • Exceptional prioritization skills and ability to work under pressure while maintaining a high degree of integrity
  • Technical experience supporting SAP OTC (SD, CRM).
  • Demonstrated accuracy with reports and projects, analytical aptitude and strong attention to detail
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills, innovative and self-motivated with a drive for continuous improvement
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff to exchange information, ideas, and answer inquiries
  • Ability to work well with diverse groups of people with a clear vision of client and business needs
  • Ability to participate on multi-disciplinary work teams to achieve successful execution of complex implementation projects
Technical Skills:
  • 10+ years' Technical experience implementing /supporting SAP-OTC solutions in diverse environments
  • Good understanding of SAP problem solving approach (logs, dumps, OSS notes, etc.)
  • Has performed data migration activities (e.g. LSMW for inventory loads)
  • Integration experience with 3rd party systems using HTML, EDI, Webservices etc.
  • Good understanding of test strategies, test planning and test methodologies
  • Advance knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point and Visio)
ADDITIONAL ASSETS
  • Knowledge of third-party Bar Code systems (e.g. Loftware, Bar Tender)
  • Certified in one or more module of SAP
  • Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP) Certification
  • Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
  • Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM)
  • Experience with automated testing tools and BPM tools
  • Proficiency with flowcharting and other workflow modeling tools
  • Project Management experience
  • Experience in SAP PP, MM, WM
