JOB SUMMARY

We design and build high end custom homes in Southwest Michigan and need a Purchasing & Project Administrator to join our Team! Do you have a strong organizational aptitude and the ability to utilize various hardware and software tools for the benefit of your Team? Are you familiar with residential construction and looking to further your experience while offering your administrative skill set to the mix? ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist Project Managers with purchasing tools, equipment and materials for the job.

Assist General Contractor in all areas as needed.

Tracks material and equipment on the job site.

Assists with identifying and documenting change orders.

Follow up and report on schedule adherence on a weekly basis

Communicate effectively with contractors responsible for completing various phases of the project.

Assist with permit processing.

Procure & distribute drawings and specifications when needed.

Periodic inspections of construction sites.

Ensure that all project documents are complete. Monitor and update all project documents stored in the Current Projects folder.

Attend kick off and progress meetings as needed

Maintain data in various software formats

Miscellaneous tasks as needed

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Must have relevant work experience.

PREFERRED SKILLS

Previous office, administrative or assistant experience is required.

Previous construction industry experience is required.

Proficient computer skills. Extensive knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook expected.

Understanding of Dropbox, Smartsheet, Teams and Sage 100 Contractor a plus.

Exceptional phone and customer service skills.

Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Position entails flexibility and the ability to multi-task.

ADDITIONAL NOTES

40+ hour work week. Must have reliable transportation, with proper licensing and insurance. Position consists of field work as well as office work.
