North Coast Window Works is a service organization to people with older and historic properties in Michigan. our guiding principal is to do what ever it takes to help people with single glazed windows keep them functioning and energy efficient. And we are doing really good! So good we are look for more talent. If you like idea of taking a crappy piece of anything and making it look new again (think furniture refinishing), you might have what it take to be successful in our organization. You will learn some really cool skills like:
Traditional Carpentry.
Traditional Painting.
Traditional Window Glazing.
Glass Cutting.
New techniques to repair wood rot in wood architectural elements.
Our customers like our window work so much they are asking us to rebuild porches, dormers and siding on their older & historic homes.
If this interest you, we'd like to talk to you regardless of your skill level. We can teach you the skills but we need you to provide the passion for learning and working to restoring old things back to new.
The work is a mix between our state of the art shop and customer's properties. You'll get plenty of fresh air and a great sun tan. You'll have to be ok working off a ladder up to 24'. Also some of the work is a bit dusty and we can talk about that. It's most just good old fashion hand tools and a bit of muscle. (your arms & shoulder will never be toner!) Flexible hours for part time and full time. Seasonal summer workers are welcome but we need to start training you now so your ready to go when the weather hits.
