- Represent the user s perspective throughout the product lifecycle - from problem discovery, solution ideation and validation through iterative development and delivery.
- Maintain a user-centered approach in design perspective and practice
- Work as a collaborative team member with business partners, developers, and fellow designers
- Set appropriate deliverables based on the needs of the project and your timeline for completing them
- These may include a mission statement, personas, on-site research, customer journeys, and flow diagrams
- Capture and synthesize information from usability tests, discovery sessions, and on-site research into actionable insights and recommendations
- Create sketches, wireframes, storyboards, and mockups to communicate a product s desired future state . Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineers
- Lead products from discovery and framing through iterative development and delivery
- Help product managers; assess and prioritize opportunities and constraints
- Guide product decisions through user research and iterative feedback loops
- Rapidly iterate design prototypes and working applications (using Sketch and Invision)
- Conduct user testing, interviews, and analysis
- Develop visual identity systems, visual design, and define interaction patterns
- Produce materials for business partners and developers, including user flows, wireframes, mockups, live style guides, and assets
- Facilitate and lead design thinking sessions with various technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Show familiarity with modern front-end technologies and frameworks (e.g. HAML/SASS, grid systems, responsive design)
- Portfolio displaying a well-rounded UX design background
- Experience with conducting discovery and user validation interviews.
- Experience working in paired programming environment using agile/lean methodologies
- Proven experience coaching and guiding others in UX and design
- Strong communication and collaboration skills

- The ability to defend design decisions and the methodologies you employ
- An ability to make your thinking visible through sketches or other tools in order to discuss complex problems, data sets, or experimentation
- Ability to communicate (and receive) criticism constructively and thoughtfully
- Familiarity with research methods and when to use them including contextual inquiry, usability testing, heuristic review, A/B testing
- Experience working with software products
- Independent leadership
- Experience designing full-service consumer and business applications
- Technical and problem solving mindset.
- Experience with Mobile Accessibility
- Bachelor s Degree - Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), User Experience, Human Factors, Visual Design, Marketing, Computer Science or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience in User-Centered Design (e.g., UX, Interaction Design, User Research or Visual Design)
- 3+ years of experience with conducting user research (e.g user interviews, conducting user tests)
