Do you enjoy the challenge of scripting system deployments? Have you helped development teams set up cloud deployment pipelines? Do you have experience establishing new Source Control repos, branching strategies, and build solutions? We have an opening for an experienced Deployment Engineer looking to work with teams on creating new CI/CD pipelines that automate the build, release, and deployment of services and infrastructure that are powering the next generation of Tyler's Public Safety product lines.
LocationTroy, MichiganResponsibilities On our team, you will have the opportunity to:- Develop, evolve, and scale programs, tools, and processes that automate tasks surrounding the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Develop, maintain, and enhance the existing CI/CD pipeline for a wide variety of products.
- Troubleshoot system, database, technology and build/deployment issues for different stakeholders such as Dev/QA/Product/Support.
- Manage branching/merging of various source code streams.
- Aggressively pursue technical and professional development, making use of internal and external resources to cultivate and grow your skills.
- Promote relationships between product teams to foster a strong DevOps culture of shared responsibility, efficiency, security, and quality.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Two years of experience in either development operations, system administration, or software development.
- Strong ability to learn new technology independently and quickly.
- Strong ability to research complex technological problems, formulate recommendations, and build technically sound and scalable solutions.
- Proven experience with GitHub/GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or other CI/CD pipeline systems a plus.
- Solid skills with Windows server administration.
- Solid skills with programming languages such as PowerShell, C#, Python, or Javascript
- Experience with relational databases such as SQL.
- Experience with infrastructure tools like Ansible, Rundeck, Octopus Deploy, Artifactory, Terraform, Docker, Harness, or Kubernetes.
- Experience with cloud providers such as AWS or Azure.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong ability to learn new technology independently and quickly.
