As a Guidewire – Integration Architect, you will –

  • Provide technical expertise by enforcing the vision of the application architecture and safeguarding the integrity of the application environment in alliance with architects and other tech leads
  • Implement the overall technical vision for projects, programs and systems, keeping in mind cross-functional impacts, integration across the organization and architecture rationalization
  • Function as a subject matter expert and advocate for the software applications supported
  • Oversee technical deliverables for maintenance projects through the software development lifecycle, including validating the completeness of estimates, quality and accuracy of technical designs, build, performance analysis and implementation
  • Proactively address technical issues and risks that could impact Project timelines and/or financials
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to design and document automation solutions that align with the business needs and are consistent with the architectural vision
  • Review and provide input into Architectural designs, requirements and test cases
  • Mentor and train project team members and peers, both internal and vendor partners to enforce development guidelines and best practices lead change by influencing and educating Business, IT and sourcing partners.
  • Design and development of Enterprise integration capabilities between Packaged Vendor products and other enterprise systems
  • Demonstrate integration experience in P & C domain working in a Guidewire Policy Center implementation
  • Manage and coach junior development team members. • Strong understanding of SOA concepts such as SOAP and REST services both XML and JSON message formats
  • Provide technical expertise, oversight, and accountability for resolution of outages, service level issues and other events in partnership with support teams
  • Make recommendations for application performance and stability
  • Understand and evaluate multiple platforms, software packages, and custom components to design the solution.
  • Harvest reusable building blocks for reuse on other projects/programs.
  • Support the development of business cases and actively participate in technology evaluations. As an Integration Architect, you will be playing an advisory role, identify functional/non-functional requirements and interface with vendors and support the application architecture utilized by in-house developed applications, vendor products / applications, databases and ensure development efforts are carried out using a consistent and quality driven approach and will play an important role in the development and integration of new capabilities into existing systems by continuing to develop target architecture that aligns with existing and new capabilities, business goals and objectives. Additionally, the Integration Architect will be responsible for assisting in the creation of integrated solutions across multiple disciplines within a complex IT technical framework, and preparing architecture statements that address the application design, process changes and project details necessary for a successful implementation. Understand customers’ processes and products and how they fit within the goals of the function or business unit. Engage with the Application Architect and Guidewire product team in the reviews and validation of the detailed technical design for business applications provided by the supplier to ensure alignment with business requirements; validate suppliers estimates. Perform quality review checks on application code and design documents Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree and 5 or more years of experience in the IT Architecture area
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3 or more years of experience with Guidewire projects/implementations in the P&C insurance industry with focus on Integration Design / Architecture
  • Experience working / Integrating Policy Admin Systems with Electronic document management Systems • Guidewire Certifications
  • Intermediate skills associated with software design, modification, implementation, and deployment, including object-oriented programming concepts
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience collaborating across functional teams
  • Strong presentation, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work in an agile environment
• Excellent organization and planning skills
