- Station Readiness and Install
- 100% of stations fully operational and bought off according to the production intent plan (see General Section)
- Work with Facilities and Equipment and WPI / OTP Lead function to identify, design, and implement Minimal Material Handling (MMH) and Low Cost Automation (LCA)
- Ensure that CAD drawings are up to date and representative of floor walks and POR.
- Data
- Maintain and ensure all relevant Station Readiness Data in PFEP is up to date.
- Daily maintenance of all Open issue lists, WPI/OTP/ELM Checklists, PFEP data, Kaizen Journal, Timeline, Checklist, Issue Lists, Lessons Learned, Best Practices, etc
- Being a proactive member of the launch process and opening issues against other groups for topics that are detrimental to MLM Station Readiness, Material Flow and F&E process then following up those issues until closure. This includes issues with the Rack and Container Teams, Production Control Teams, MLM Management, etc.
- 3 years professional experience, and
- 2 years Automotive OEM including Powertrain or Tier 1 experience
- 2 years in Material Handling, Production Control, Logistics or Industrial Engineering
- Minimum 4-year University Degree in Engineering.
- Capable of executing and teaching the following Material Flow studies:
- Kitting Cell Design.
- Work Station layouts in 2D / 3D.
- Manpower Assignment / Balancing.
- Facilities and Equipment Management.
- Project Planning.
- Basic Industrial Engineering Analyses.
- 3D CAD expertise is required.
- Working Knowledge of ergonomics and its application.
- Experience in team based environment.
