Job Description Basic Purpose and ObjectiveThe Fastener Mechanical Engineer Co-Op/Intern is responsible for the design and development of plastic and metal automotive fasteners (interior and exterior).
Specific Duties and Responsibilities•Work with applications engineering team to implement customer requirements into new product designs. •Work with design team to create 2D drawings and 3D models. •Generation and approval of designs•Responsible for APQP deliverables (DFMEA, DVP&R, team feasibility assessments, design stack ups, design studies, etc)•Conduct part validation testing, analyze results and implement design improvements.•Assist quality team in resolving current production product issues. •Assist manufacturing and process development team in optimizing part designs for mass production and assuring part performance capability.Required Skills Progress towards Bachelors Degree in EngineeringVacancy expired!
