Job Description

The ProgramAnalyst will provide expert-levelguidance on business process requirements, design, test and support in relation to a customized application for business that provides product distribution and billing services for Automotive OES customers. The Programmer Analyst will beexpert of the customized application, ensuring business requirements are gathered, mapping allprocesses are done, production stabilization and support to business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing consultancy in the respective program for the best practice processes.
  • Initiating necessary business process re-engineering in order to have effective and efficient operations.
  • Demonstrating good knowledge primarily using Cobol with MVS JCL and business standard processes.
  • Demonstrating good working knowledge of Microsoft SQL server and SQL Management tools
  • Supporting the business processes with issue identification, resolution, and process optimization.
  • Analyzing the evolving program to meet the business requirements and work with key users to implement the process in the organization.

Additional Responsibilities will include:

  • Detecting and escalating necessary process decisions in the projectmeeting.
  • Coordinating all training activities according to training concept and plan.
  • Coordinatingtesting activities and contributing to test plan creation.
  • Coordinating data clean-up/migration activities with IT process consultant to support key users and team members.
  • Supporting the key user community with user mentoring, process documentation, and end user training.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Science degree in Computer Science or equivalentrequired.
  • 5+ years of experience in COBOL (.Net Cobol) w/ MVS JCL
  • Microsoft SQL Server and SQL query skills, Microsoft Visual Studio, VB coding experience, Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to work and communicate with both technical and business stakeholders regarding requirements and execution.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize work tasks.
  • Ability to analyze pros and cons and financial impact to the business.
  • Ability and willingness to travel 5% annually; international travel as required.
  • Must be eligible to work in the US without VISA sponsorship.
  • Not open to VA/VN assignment.
