- Develop system architecture by designing and analyzing system requirements and by using current systems engineering methods and technologies. May include simulations, mathematical analysis and/or system interaction analysis and digital signal processing.
- Analyze, coordinate, and perform system testing, including prototyping, validation, and verification.
- Close critical technical gaps by working with interdisciplinary team, analyzing options and making decisions.
- Document system requirements by writing documents, reports, memos, change requests. Methods used are determined by approved procedures and standards.
- Conduct systems level analysis/simulations, partitioning and measuring results against requirements.
- Solve system problems by analyzing the situation and recommending corrective or alternative actions.
- Aid in the Risk Analysis for the project.
- Consult on development of medical device navigation algorithms Quality Systems Duties and Responsibilities: Build Quality into all aspects of their work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements. Qualifications
- A minimum of 6 years of system engineering experience in mixed HW/SW systems including analog and digital filters and signal amplification.
- Proven experience in leading complex system analysis from early stages to post release.
- Experience conducting error/budget analysis and analytical and non-analytical simulations.
- Self-motivated with a passion for solving problems.

- Hands-on approach to problem solving.
- BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field.
- Experience designing and building high-accuracy systems. Preferred Qualifications:
- Medical Device industry background and knowledge.
- Experience working with tracking/navigation systems.
- Experience developing algorithms for medical device navigation applications.
- Experience with MATLAB including simulations and optimization work.
