Genesis10 is currently looking for a Business Side Project Manager with SaaS experience for a 3-6 month project in Bloomington MN (able to work 100% remote)

This manager is responsible for enabling cross-functional teams to continuously deliver features, enhancements, and updates to Edmentum's Learning and Assessment product portfolios. They are a servant leader responsible for assigned projects and other assignments that support the Agile Program Management Office. This position will also support initiatives that facilitate the adoption of Lean and Agile practices. Seeking a mid level Project Manager business side must have Agile experience not required to have SAFE.Also, they just built out a new PMO for the Product side to implement Agile Agile has really not been implemented much on the business side fully implemented on the IT side. This is business side role. The people that they will be interfacing with and on their team are research folks in regards to researching new products, Product Managers who run the roadmap of their products, learner designers who are designing the new curriculum/products, content designers who are designing current and core curriculums, and UX folks for the user experience. Client is in the process of making it easier for their individual, a la carte products, to be taken together and/or move thru the next phase of their products easier. And to have similar functionality too. Also, a new product they are working on that won't be ready for 3-4 years out is building a core curriculum but each state defines core curriculum differently. Need someone who can take things and run with it, work independently and continue to move things forward. Also, have experience working in Agile they are moving to SAFE bot SAFE is not required.

Responsibilities:
  • Accountable for the entire project lifecycle, including initiation, launch, planning, execution, and close-out. Must ensure projects are successfully delivered on time, within budget, and to stakeholder specifications.
  • Lead, and motivate a high-performance team that delivers high quality work.
  • Develop work estimates, work breakdown structures and the project work plan; prepare a consolidated work plan for initiatives that involve multiple related projects.
  • Proactively manage risk, anticipate possible issues, implement appropriate mitigations, and remove blockers.
  • Managemultiple, key projects simultaneously. Manage projects ofmultiple workgroups with significant scope.
  • Anticipate stakeholder needs, and successfully manage changes in project scope, schedule, budget, and personnel. Make recommendations on solutions to leadership. Negotiate, set, and manage stakeholder's expectations. Ensure project objectives are set and roles of team members are clear.
  • Monitor and review team outputs for multiple teams. Hold team members accountable to commitments.
  • Create and maintain project documentation and tracking to support team process.
  • Communicate project progress frequently and effectively to all stakeholders.

Qualifications:
  • Four-year undergraduate degree in business or related field. Masters or advanced degree preferred.
  • SAFe, Scrum, or PMP certification preferred.
  • 5+ years related experience, including at least 2 years of project/program management or managerial experience with implementation of large scale, cross-functional projects in a technology environment
  • 3 years of experience in education technology and/or publishing experience
  • Intermediate level proficiency with Visio, PowerPoint, Sharepoint, and SmartSheet
  • Experience presenting to stakeholders and/or Senior Leadership
  • Demonstrated achievements in planning, directing and implementing complex projects on time, within budget and with desired functionality
  • Ability to be broadly focused and manage multiple efforts concurrently
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization; including staff, business stakeholders, and all levels of management
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including with Executive audiences
  • Strong conflict resolution, negotiating and influencing skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, changing, and ambiguous environments.
  • Experience with Lean and Agile methodology
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Managed projects with $1 million cost and 20+ assigned resources
