Location: Corcoran, MN Salary: W2 ONLY Description: Our client is seeking a Buyer to join their team immediately!This position is fully on-site in Hamel, MN.
This job will have the following responsibilities:- Buy to Pay Process
- Create purchase orders based on purchase requisitions for assigned commodity groups in a timely manner and with high data accuracy
- Manage open purchase orders and collaborate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery based on communicated specifications
- Effectively communicate PO changes to internal customers as required
- Manage and resolve quality non-conformities, both internally and externally, per the NCR process
- Relationship management
- Develop sound supplier relationships through effective communications
- Request and evaluate quotations for required materials from qualified suppliers
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or related experience
- 3+ years' buying experience Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Purchasing knowledge in services, inventory, mechanical, MRO and/or electrical components
- Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g. IFS, SAP, Oracle)
- Knowledge of Microsoft applications, especially MS Excel
- Demonstrated analytical and communication skills both written and verbal
- 7+ years combination of education and experience as a buyer
