The Comfort Suites Canal Park is currently seeking a dynamic individual to be a strong leader for our Front Desk Manager's position. Candidate will be responsible for ensuring an efficient operation of the hotel front desk including training, delegating tasks, and managing guests. This individual must also maintain standards of guest services and be consistent in guest experience as documented in Medallia and other social media venues. This also includes ensuring that the front desk operate at peak efficiency as well as ensuring the accuracy of front desk and guest records with direct and open lines of communications to other departments within the hotel. Responsibilities also include ensuring that all front office systems and control procedures comply with corporate and brand policies and procedures. An active role in maintaining all social media promotions as well as promoting specials and other marketing efforts. Other responsibilities include the scheduling of all the front desk staff as well as night audit. In conjunction with night audit staff, ensure timely and accurate reporting of daily operating results and statistical information as related to revenue and expenses. Assisting with accounts payables and direct billing as the GM directs.

Job specifics:

Excellent guest service skills

Understanding of financial reports.

2+ years of front desk experience (preferably in a leadership role)

High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred.

Flexible schedule including daytime, evenings, and ability to fill in night-audit when required.

Be willing to work holidays and weekends.

Proficient with PMS system.

Advanced knowledge of brand's reward program.

Able to handle cash and credit transactions.

Computer literacy and financial management a must.

Knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook a must.

Able to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high level of patience, tact, and diplomacy to diffuse anger, collect accurate information, and resolve conflicts.

General knowledge of local area attractions and transportation.

Able to observe and detect signs of emergency situations. Able to remain calm and alert, during emergency situations and/or heavy hotel activity, serving as a role model for guest service agents and other associates.

Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates and customers.

Able to make sound business decisions and take action quickly based on previous experience and good judgment.

Knowledge of hotel operations.

Command of the English language both written and verbal.
