Happy Time Day Care Center private non-profit, is a 4 Star Parent Aware rated and NECPA accredited early childhood program, located in beautiful Lincoln Park values high quality early childhood education and care for young children. The philosophy that guides the teachers at Happy Time is one that comes from all of our influences-history, traditions, and research. We have used these influences to create our own identity of Happy Time Day Care Center.
Happy Time seeks to hire a a passionate preschool teacher who is professional, dependable and enthusiastic. The candidate would work in a team environment with group sizes of 8-10 children. We are looking for someone who is patient, creative and has the desire to grow as a professional teacher.
Qualifications:
2 or 4 year degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, CDA certification
Ability to relate positively with young children and create a positive learning environment.
Work cooperatively with other teachers to create lesson plans and dynamic environments for the children learn, live and play in.
Previous teaching or assistant teaching experience is required.
Must be highly motivated and enjoy learning as much as teaching.
Responsibilities:
Create dynamic lesson plans and learning environments using Early Childhood Indicators or Progress (ECIPS) as a guide
Assess each child's developmental needs on an ongoing basis using Teaching Strategies Gold assessment tool.
Facilitates meals and nap time.
Actively develops and maintains positive parent relationships.
Engage in professional development and value learning as much as teaching.
Maintain a clean and healthy classroom.
Facilitate physical exercise and good health practices.
