Description:This person will be responsible for Reviewing plans and specifications in preparation of field observations on construction sites.Documenting field activities, observations, and testing results on projects.Field testing of soil, concrete, asphalt, aggregate, and masonry mortar/ grout for compliance with ASTM, AASHTO, DOT, and/or project specifications.Daily use of Metafield®, and/or other field and laboratory information management system.Calibrating field and laboratory equipment to industry codes and standards.Communicating with management staff, general contractors, and clients.Day to Day:Entry-level – come in and train – usually put on small projects or an overnight concrete pours 12 am – 2 am (6-8 hrs days) depending on how much training is required. Train for a month or so then sign new hires up for ACI – testing concrete certification (will help prepare & train & study w/ new hires to pass ACI)After they receive their ACI their responsibilities will increase & they will be responsible for Slump testing, pressure testing, making cylinders etc.Additional Skills & Qualifications:ACI ConcreteICC SoilsAbout Actalent: Actalent connects passion with purpose.
