DescriptionPAYROLL SPECIALIST - Work From HomeDo you have strong communication skills and a desire to grow your career trajectory? Our client's Payroll department is in need of a Payroll Specialist who will thrive in the position. Success in this position includes accurately entering data and reconciling timecards, as well as efficiently distributing paychecks and statements to various individuals and departments. A strong level of communication is critical for effective collaboration with both the internal team and outside customers.What you get to do every single day:
Assist in office efficiency by carrying out clerical duties such as filing, scanning, faxing, photocopying, etc.
Maintain payroll operations by training/instructing employees in the proper use of payroll-related systems including entry of timesheets, online access of pay statements, etc.
Organize data into spreadsheets and the payroll system
Obtain timesheet approvals by contacting employees via email and phone
Generate and run custom reports
Carry out other duties as assigned
Retrieve reports as instructed by administering and/or distributing
Requirements
3+ years of previous payroll experience
Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Enthusiasm when it comes to learning new systems and ideas
Highly organized, attentive, has a sense of urgency, flexible and able to deal with frequent interruptions and changing priorities
Payroll software experience suggested
Multi-state payroll experience highly desired
Garnishments payroll experience preferred
Strong familiarity with independent systems (Payroll)
