HBM is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Inside Technical sales. As an Inside technical sales engineer youll need excellent verbal and technical skills to understand engineering applications, and help our customers select the right solution for the job. Youll be working with new, and existing customers: Qualifying leads, managing opportunities, and winning business. We pride ourselves in timely responses, and well take advantage of all tools to expedite supporting our customers - like Webex/Skype for virtual demonstrations.
HBM offers a wide range of sensors, data acquisition systems, and software solutions that are primarily used by R&D engineers for product performance and validation testing. Its exciting to work with an engineer performing structural testing on an agricultural planter one day, and an engineer working on resolving vibration issues on a washing machine the next. Our customers range from Agriculture, Construction, Aerospace, Automotive, Civil¦basically anyone that cares about the quality and performance of their products.
What will you be doing?
Extensive interaction with customers and prospects via phone and email
Understand applications, pain points, and needs
Identify new sales opportunities when talking with prospective customers
Strong technical understanding of all HBM products, and the ability to perform basic hardware demonstrations over webex sessions
Diligently log sales activities and opportunities in CRM
Qualify leads provided within CRM system
Work closely with outside sales engineers, and inside customer care agents
Prepare and send quotations and correspondence
Develop new business and maintain existing customer loyalty
What we need to see
Bachelors degree in engineering (preferably electrical or mechanical)
Inside technical sales experience with a minimum of 3 to 5 years.
Background in instrumentation, test or data acquisition a plus
Technical ability to learn diverse product line
A passion for finding and promoting solutions to customers challenges.
Must be capable of handling many cases in parallel
Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
Must be self-motivated, self-directed, and possess strong organizational skills.
PC computer skills and experience in Microsoft Windows, Webex tools.
