Project Scope: Our client has an immediate need for a Kubernetes Platform Engineer with the following skills and experience: Responsibilities:- Primary operations support role for Kubernetes on-prem and Azure environments
- Enablement of Kubernetes in client's on-prem and Azure platforms
- Collaboration with other support team and development teams to drive sustainable solutions
- Document standards and approaches to using Kubernetes
- Create documentation and SOPs for Kubernetes support processes and procedures
- Responsible for staying current with enterprise and industry standards, technologies, methodologies, and best practices
- Focus team outcomes/work on incident prevention, mitigation, and monitoring and detection strategies
- Ensure performance and availability of tools and systems via real-time monitoring and triage
- Write scrips to Automate repetitive duties to reduce time and human error, and to enable delegation of support tasks
- Review dashboards for application telemetry to help make capacity and availability decisions
- Work with monitoring and application teams to ensure that proper monitoring is in place for tools and systems
- Work within a global team to ensure 24x7x365 availability and performance of Kubernetes ecosystem
- Participate in an on-call rotation
- Kubernetes engineering and operational experience (monitoring/alerting/routing)
- Kubernetes experience (AKS/Docker)
- Kubernetes routing and load-balancing experience (AVI/F5/Azure App Gateways)
- Prometheus and Grafana experience
