Accountemps is seeking an Accounting Clerk for a company in the Wholesale Distribution - Dur Goods industry, whose responsibility will be to support the needs of a department. The Accounting Clerk will match invoices to purchase orders/ vouchers, data entry, and assist with Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This is a short-term temporary employment opportunity based in the Eden Prairie, Minnesota area.What you get to do every single day
Standard accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects
Assist Accounts Receivable: help with collection of past due balance, process daily invoices/credit, and apply cash receipt
Post financial figures to journals and ledgers
Produce statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources
Help Accounts Payable: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing
Assemble documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of accounting codes and expenditure codes
Settle discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required

Ability to multitask, collaborate and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds in a fast-paced environment
Solid understanding of Microsoft Outlook
Prior knowledge in Spreadsheet and ERP system
Ability to enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data
AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
