This is the place to do your life's best work.(sm) Optum Health & Enterprise Clinical Technology is looking for a strong candidate to support our Operations team. This team supports over 3,000 team members and leads several operational workstreams (reporting, workforce mgmt, real estate, etc). This candidate will report directly to our Operations lead and take direction from other senior staff members. This candidate's primary focus will revolve around pulling and transforming data, maintaining our suite of reports, and documenting processes and procedures. This candidate will assist with the extraction, analysis and reporting of segment wide metrics. Understand the data and metrics that drives the organization's overall performance. This function includes, productivity, workforce analysis and planning, system availability, budgeting, systems compliance, etc. Responsibilities:
- Access multiple enterprise reporting applications and extract data relevant to our organization
- Document data from the source of truth
- Aggregate data from multiple sources and compile into a singular Monthly Operating Review presentation
- Perform this function at the CIO Level and for each of the CIO's direct reports
- Present the data to the CIO and their leadership team monthly
- Discover and address anomalies or negative trends in the data with the appropriate teams
- Identify and implement improvements to the overall reporting process and tool suite (i.e. automation, contribute toward the creation of enterprise tools to facilitate this reporting)
- Drive the organizational performance by providing accurate, clear, concise, and actionable metrics
- Create and maintain a suite of reports for several operational workstreams
- Document standards, processes, and procedures for several operational workstreams
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel (build formulas, data analysis, reporting, VLOOKUPs, and Pivot Tables)
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment and maintain a professional and positive manner
- 2 years experience and/or comparable education in data analysis
- 1+ years of specific experience with documenting processes and procedures
- Familiarity with the Agile methodology and corresponding metrics
- Experience with automation and reporting tools
- Experience packaging raw data and metrics into polished reports for executive consumption
- Effective communicator, takes initiative, eager to learn new things and add value
- Knowledge of UHG/UHC/Optum's systems and environments, particularly reporting tools
