- Primary duty is Understand Customers' needs and must be able to read blueprints with GD&T.
- Individual must have experience using inspection tools (i.e. micrometers, calipers, drop indicators, thread gauges, plug gauges, comparators etc.) Certified Mechanical Engineer preferred. Candidate must know how to apply measurement techniques to dimensions including GD&T call-outs. (Champion of GD&T is required)
- Experience programming running OGP (vision system) and/or CMM is a plus.
- Candidate must have PPAP and First Article experience for evaluation on machined parts (burrs, edge breaks, surface/tool blends etc.) Practical experience and formal training in process improvement tools, including SPC, DOE, and Six Sigma methods.
- Practical experience and formal training conducting quality system audits.
- Experience using statistical software packages, including, Discus, MS Excel, and MS Access
- Well versed in complaint and CAPA documentation
- Excellent experience with supplier communication
- Excellent overall written and verbal communication skills
- Needs to have solid communication skills and the ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Candidate must be able to get along and work with others and be able to work overtime if need be. Candidate needs to be a self-motivated team player with an excellent work ethic, with the ability to recognize open tasks and a self-commitment to completing those tasks in an accurate and timely fashion.
- Needs to maintain compliance with company's ISO 13485, ISO 9001-AS9100 certified procedures and practices.
