- Our client has an exciting opportunity in our Enterprise Data Services group, responsible for providing services driving data integrity and supporting enterprise processes designed to treat data as an enterprise asset. We are looking for an Enterprise Data Services Analyst who will have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, be a strong team player who thrives in a team-oriented environment and comfortable working with ambiguity and a fast paced and changing environment.
- We are looking for a resource who has the business knowledge in transportation industry with rail, trucking, logistics. Someone who may have worked for a CH Robinson or Cargill in their transportation area or for a small trucking company. Looking for that business knowledge and then will train them on the SAP Transportation Module as well as train them on data/SQL. So must be willing to learn about data and SQL - so if they had experience with excel they could train them on SQL and data.
- Their role will be the business data analyst liaison to the SAP transportation module team. This person will be responsible for helping with the data migration for the SAP transportation module.
- Formulate and define processes with good understanding of business requirements
- Consider business impact, value of data and information management processes
- Leverage data domain experience and best practices to bring creative solutions to complex problems
- Contribute to process improvements during all phases of the effort
- Develop solutions to variety of problems with limited to moderate scope and complexity following established policies and procedures
- Investigate and resolve data incidents in a timely manner.
- Monitor and improve data quality by initiating corrective actions identified through performing root cause analysis.
- Ensure adherence to data policies and processes and their continued enforcement to include areas such as workflow for data ingestion, data quality, master data and data life cycle management.
- Identify areas where data can be used to improve business activities, defining business users' requirements.
- Work closely with Data Engineers to create and maintain cross system interrelationship design and documentation
- Facilitate target system data migration requirements gathering from process areas and data governance.
- Collaborate with business and technical subject matter experts to identify, analyze and document data migration transformation rules from legacy source systems.
- Support data cleansing rules for legacy source systems as part of data migration efforts.
- Facilitate, support and train business subject matter experts on data migration validation procedures to meet target system design.
- High School Diploma (or equivalent)
- 2+ years of relevant work experience to include one or more of the following:
- Knowledge of data governance or data management practices
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Access, Visio, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Strong analytic skills with attention to detail providing front-end data analysis, requirements gathering, design, testing, documentation implementation, and support of assigned data projects
- Transportation Industry experience
- MS Excel
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Business, Information Systems or related field
- Experience leading continuous improvement projects and tasks
- Knowledge of data governance or data management practices
- Technical knowledge and domain expertise including project management techniques
- Excellent Communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Ability to work independently
- Hourly W2 pay rate $55.00 - $70.00
