Summary

- The Warehouse Operator performs warehouse duties and other support duties for the management of Quality Extrusion. Responsibilities include blending resin, loading and unloading trucks, organizing the warehouse, unloading train cars, and conducting weekly and monthly inventories. Requires forklift experience. Also calls for strong organizational skills, must pay close attention to detail, flexibility, problem solving skills and the ability to work with others to help the team succeed.

Duties

The main duties of the Warehouse Operator are to provide support to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of the warehouse, production floor and shipping/receiving personnel, by managing the following plus any additional duties as requested:

1. Operate a forklift

2. Organize and clean warehouse/upstairs/other areas as needed.

3. Process, separate, and stage product for shipping.

4. Load and unload trucks

5. Receive orders and organize them in the warehouse.

6. Operate industrial blender used to mix base resins. Maintain inventory of mixed resins.

7. Monitor inventory of products and supplies.

8. Unload train cars of resin.

9. Learn the production floor in spare time, assist line operators or maintenance dept. as needed.

10. Report information to management.

11. Over time, when necessary, is mandatory. This may include coming in early, staying late, Saturdays, and/or Sundays along with the ability to work 12 hours straight.

Required Qualifications

1. 2+ years of forklift operation experience preferred but not required.

2. Pay close attention to detail, highly organized

3. Capable of using office applications including Windows and Microsoft Office.

4. Valid US Driver’s license.

5. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

6. A successful track record in setting priorities, organization, and problem-solving skills.

7. Excellent communication and relationship skills with an ability to manage, prioritize, and work with a variety of internal and external people.

8. A self-starter with the ability to wear many hats and change quickly in a fast-paced environment.

9. Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and loyalty.

Compensation

1. Starting pay $15.00 per hour with annual increases based on performance.

2. Health insurance available after 90 days.

3. Quality Extrusion has a standard of 9 paid holidays per year.

4. 1-week vacation and 1 week of sick pay are earned after 6 months. PTO goes to 2 weeks of vacation and 1 week of sick time after a year.

5. Overtime is paid out after 40 hours in a week. Vacation time, sick time, and holiday pay all count towards overtime.
