About the role:

Magellan is a Global Business Transformation program accompanying a move of our ERP system from ECC to S4 HANA. Magellan's goal is to simplify, standardize and modernize our core business processes, enabling BSC to better leverage the power of data and to position our business for profitable and sustainable growth.

Reporting to the Manufacturing Site Deployment Lead, the Manufacturing Deployment Analyst will develop and co-ordinate the Deployment Plans for each Manufacturing Site across the Network. This role will operate in a highly collaborative, matrix organization structure, with Magellan PMO responsible for the Deployment Process Playbook; each Site responsible for its own Business processes and the Magellan Functional Workstreams delivering Business Transformation. The role will require collaboration across the Network with Site Leads, Global Process Owners, Communities of Practices, Business Process Leads, the Magellan Core Teams and Site Stakeholders.

Initially the role will focus on partnering with PMO, the Regional Team and our Strategic Integration vendors to finalize the Magellan Deployment Playbook content, a Template for successful Go Live delivery. The role will lead the preparation of the Deployment Phase, to prepare for a smooth transition from Build to Deployment, including Business User Testing, Master Data Governance and Migration, Dry Run Business Simulation, Business Continuity Planning, Go Live and Stabilization support. The next Phase will be to leverage that Template to construct a coordinated Project Plan for D2 Galway & Maple Grove, progressively developing Plans for each Site Deployment. Essential to the role will be influencing skills to partner with multiple Stakeholders, ensuring each has their respective requirements incorporated into an overall BSC solution with maximum Global Template Network coverage.

The role is planned to start in Feb 2023 focusing on Release #2 initially, Galway and Maple Grove. The role will then sequentially focus on D3 to D6 deployment phases.

The role will lead site Deployment activities including Business User Testing, Master Data Governance and Migration, Dry Run Business Simulation, Business Continuity Planning, Go Live and Stabilization support.

Your responsibilities include:
  • Develop a core understanding of the Magellan Program and the Manufacturing implications across all Commercial, Inbound, Manufacturing, Outbound, Finance, Change Management and Master Data work-streams.
  • Possess a solid understanding of all the Network Manufacturing Sites, complexities, and challenges, staying updated with Operations strategies and Site activities.
  • Foster strong network contacts, with each Site, building a Deployment Team, by Site, blending Site and Magellan resources into One Team
  • Effectively communicate and influence across the Manufacturing Network with Site Leadership Teams the Global Magellan Program.
  • Working with each Site Lead, SMEs, and stakeholders, collecting and consolidating input for the program, ensuring Sites are appropriately represented across the Magellan program.
  • Develop meaningful relationships, making the connections to drive the program successfully. Ensuring voice of customer inputs right through the program cycle.
  • Partner and work closely with Regional Leads for the Magellan Program and PMO.
  • Create and execute a best-in-class Site change management and communication plan with support from global program team.
  • Identify, track, and proactively mitigate any risks foreseen, by Site, track and proactively manage overlapping initiatives (e.g., other Programs and Site initiatives)
  • Act as the change leader For Sites, with support from Global program leadership and Site Leadership Teams.
  • Business partnership and project management of large complex multi-year program requiring large change management efforts.
  • Simultaneously operate in an Agile and Program Project Management gate process with preliminary and detailed planning, execution and final sustaining, operational and continuous improvement phases.
  • Communicate project priorities, monitor and escalation of unresolved issues
  • Ensure timely project completion ensuring current policies and practices are followed and keeping accurate documentation.
  • Driving all project management disciplines, scopes, charters, roadmaps, workplans etc.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Engineering, Science, or another applicable field required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Proven track record of delivery in Program Management or a relevant core functions/disciplines of the Magellan transformation (e.g., Inbound, Outbound, Manufacturing, or Finance).
  • Experience of managing complex matrixed organizational structures and demonstrated capability in collaborating and influencing across such an organization.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems and the broader Application Ecosystem, combined with knowledge of key business processes.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree in relevant field of study.
  • Project management experience in medical device/healthcare
  • Experience with Agile or Scaled Agile methodology, design thinking, and lean rituals.
  • Ability to shape, establish, communicate, and engage teams on vision and strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills, with ability to transfer knowledge efficiently.
  • High sense of urgency and commitment to execution.
  • Proven adaptability, comfortable with change and with a demonstrated ability to react and response to a fast-changing environment.
