Wenck is seeking a Mechanic who will diagnose, repair, and perform maintenance on heavy-duty diesel trucks and equipment, gasoline-powered vehicles, and engines.
Minimum Qualifications:
Three years of experience as a heavy equipment mechanic
General knowledge of farm/construction machinery and operation
Two years Technical School Training in Farm Machinery Maintenance, Industrial Mechanics, or related course work and/or 1-2 years equivalent work experience
Complete set of tools for field machinery maintenance is needed
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with arc and acetylene welding.
Experience with performing electrical wiring on equipment Mechanic must supply standard list of personal hand tools.
A valid class "B" CDL drivers license is required. A class A drivers license with tanker endorsement will be required within six (6) months of hire.
Must be able to acquire a valid Commercial Vehicle Inspectors License within 6 months of hire.
Can take and give direction

Responsibilities:
Responsible for the preventative maintenance, adjustments, and repair of site and field equipment.
Diagnosis, repair, maintenance and modification of both heavy-duty diesel trucks and equipment and gasoline powered vehicles
Diagnosis and repair of mechanical and electronic control systems for engines, brakes, drive train, steering/suspension and hydraulics
Use of electronics sufficient to make engine, transmissions and brake adjustments and diagnose problems
Use of computerized testing equipment and/or onboard computers sufficient to diagnose problems and adjust the functions of components
Adhere to all policies and procedures.
Job Requirements:
Willing to locate within 45 minutes of Renville, MN
Willing to work overtime (hours can range from 40-60 hours per week)

Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts.
The work environment will occasionally include outdoor equipment repair on site and within farm fields under winter conditions
