Job Title: Accounting Specialist
Department: Finance
Reports to: Owners
Position Summary: Accounting Specialist is a salaried position responsible for managing accounts receivable and payable, maintaining complete and accurate accounting records, managing routine accounting duties, such as payroll, monthly accounts, taxes, expenses and invoices and journal entries.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

Manage accounts receivable/payable.
Verify, record, and process transactions, including expenses and vendor invoices.
Maintain accurate and complete records, including ledgers, journals, invoices, receipts, and information related to supplies and inventory.
Manage daily, monthly, and annual activities, including payroll, bank reconciliation, sales tax filing, generate financial reports, prepare taxes, assist with developing budgets and audits and resolve discrepancies.
Speak with vendors and suppliers to ensure charges are accurate and that payments are received in a timely manner, if needed.
Other Requirements:
1-3 years in accounting job.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Understanding of accounting principles and current financial legislation.
Exceptional time management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Strong math skills.
Basic computer skills with knowledge of bookkeeping software.
Must be proficient in Quickbooks Online and Excel.
Organized and detail-oriented.
Ability to accurately and efficiently analyze data.
