This position will work with product owners to achieve the goals of the service and will be responsible for analysis and project management of complex enterprise systems at the University of Minnesota. The successful candidate for this position will have a solid technical background and strong analytical and communication skills.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Lead the process of analyzing and streamlining complex business processes to best align technology solutions with business strategies.
  • Define and complete complex user stories; consider the current and future business environment when designing these solutions.
  • Provide procedural and technical guidance to less experienced staff; ensure that the design and configuration of solutions meet user story requirements and best practices.
  • Ensure that processes and systems, including system integrations and 3rd party systems, are documented and meet enterprise and security standards.
  • Ensure the quality of solutions; work with other service team members and business units to design and execute quality checks.
  • Work with the technical team and user support professionals on other tiers to resolve and follow through on complex incidents.
  • Design solutions to solve complex problems considering technology capacity and desired business results.
  • Understand technology trends and vendor product roadmaps to determine how they best fit the demands/requests of customers and how delivered functionality can be best leveraged.
  • Provide periodic service team status reports to the service owner and key stakeholders.
  • Understand the impact of technological developments on the service.
  • Use approved methodology to manage and execute projects (e.g. software upgrades) with minimal supervision.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree and four years of relevant experience or a comparable combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Experience developing documentation, test cases, and test plans.
  • Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical team members using strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience leading projects, detailing project phases, and supporting project implementation with a professional and positive attitude.
  • Strong demonstrated experience in an iterative development environment using Scrum practices.
  • Extensive Scrum Master experience; update burn-up charts, facilitate meetings, ensure sprint success

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience working across multiple product lines and/or cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication and mentoring skills.
  • Knowledge of multiple Agile methodologies. Agile, Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe Certification.
