The Supply Chain Financial Analyst will provide support for IT finance, inventory, purchasing, journal entries, and asset lifecycle.

Job Duties:
  • Provide financial support for the supply chain team including inventory usage, price analysis, and key performance indicator (KPI) tracking.
  • Demonstrate and drive a culture of continuous improvement in finance processes including analyzing operational inefficiencies and forecasting inventory.
  • Assist in departmental projects by providing operational support for purchasing, inventory, and logistics.
  • Maintain relationships with vendors and distributors to assist in the procurement of materials.
  • Assist the asset manager with tracking and monitoring IT asset life cycles (acquisition, receipt, deployment, add/changes, retirement, disposal)
  • Demonstrate supply chain knowledge and adapt quickly to changing business needs.
  • Provide annual, quarterly, and monthly usage reports on infrastructure and computer hardware inventory.
  • Prepare departmental journal entries.
  • Purchase goods and services for the department in compliance with University policy, using purchase orders and/or a purchasing card.
  • Use various queries, UM Analytics, TeamDynamix and other tools as necessary to extract data into Excel.
  • Lead, train and inform warehouse student workers.

Required Qualifications

  • BS/BA in Supply Chain, Business Management or a related field
  • Proficiency with Excel including macros, formulas, pivot tables, Vlookups, etc.
  • Experience analyzing data and generating reports.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity
  • Ability to perform superior service, reflecting a positive attitude with those you interact with; always going above and beyond to help others, regardless of their position or department.
  • Drive for results, “Go-getter” leadership skills.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Effectively prioritizes multiple demands, ability to be flexible during high workload periods

  • ASCM/APICS certification
