Our Thermo King business is connecting our transport HVAC and refrigeration products and providing digital solutions to help our customers efficiently protect drivers, passengers, and cargo. Using our connected solutions, our customers reduce fuel consumption, carbon emissions, and downtime while increasing the comfort and safety of passengers and shelf life of cargo, including essential cargo like food and pharmaceuticals. Job Summary We are hiring a Component Validation Engineering Technician in our Test, Component Validation Engineering team in Minneapolis, MN! Engineering Technicians perform a variety of tasks in support of Thermo King engineering and its end customers with respect to validation of product performance and design. This validation is done early on in support of New Product Development as well as post-sale support of customer units in service. The primary responsibility for this role is supporting diesel engine testing and development. The candidate may be called to assist in other parts of the lab in an attempt to support customer demand and to increase their breadth of knowledge with Thermo King products. Responsibilities:- Deliver high-quality and timely results
- Increase technical skills/knowledge of Thermo King products/processes
- Identify both short-term and long-term corrective actions to address safety issues
- Identify opportunities to drive continuous improvement within current lab processes
- Seek opportunities to take lead on department project(s)/initiative(s)
- 5+ years of experience supporting diesel engine testing and development.
- Experience with engine dynamometer testing, data acquisition and electronic engine control systems highly preferred.
- High School diploma required
- A team leader and coach with a natural authority that takes decisions and implements them.
- Charismatic person that can make people change by convincing them to accept changes.
- Must be able to communicate with all levels (from executive leadership team, and workstream teams to site deployment leaders) and be open to a multicultural working environment. Must accept these particularities and act accordingly. Both written and spoken. good speaker and presenter. Good trainer.
