Job Summary

We are hiring a Component Validation Engineering Technician in our Test, Component Validation Engineering team in Minneapolis, MN! Engineering Technicians perform a variety of tasks in support of Thermo King engineering and its end customers with respect to validation of product performance and design. This validation is done early on in support of New Product Development as well as post-sale support of customer units in service. The primary responsibility for this role is supporting diesel engine testing and development. The candidate may be called to assist in other parts of the lab in an attempt to support customer demand and to increase their breadth of knowledge with Thermo King products.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality and timely results
  • Increase technical skills/knowledge of Thermo King products/processes
  • Identify both short-term and long-term corrective actions to address safety issues
  • Identify opportunities to drive continuous improvement within current lab processes
  • Seek opportunities to take lead on department project(s)/initiative(s)
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience supporting diesel engine testing and development.
  • Experience with engine dynamometer testing, data acquisition and electronic engine control systems highly preferred.
  • High School diploma required
