Genesis10 is seeking a Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer for a contract position with our client in Minneapolis, MN. Opportunity We are an advanced technology company in the "green energy " space - we provide wireless energy and environmental monitoring solutions, including hardware, software and cloudware. We run large, global distributed monitoring systems with hundreds of thousands of wireless devices running on a web services architecture processing millions of data points every minute. We deploy many technology platforms, from embedded microcontrollers, advanced wireless mesh networks to desktop applications, databases and high-performance cloud-based distributed systems.

Responsibilities We are looking for a hands-on embedded systems developer to work on our core hardware monitoring and wireless mesh networking platforms. We are looking for somebody who is comfortable with mission-critical systems, understands complexity and appreciates simplicity, is not afraid to dig in and code, can grasp and drive a larger architectural vision and apply whatever tools make sense. You would be expected to take control and responsibility for a critical set of systems, including architecture, design and operations. Everything we build has to be done with the full device lifecycle in mind, including manufacturing-time and in-field test, configuration and calibration capabilities.

Technical skills Embedded systems software development in C/C Multiple embedded CPU platforms (ARM-based, bare metal, nRF51, STM32) Real-time systems (strict timing requirements, interrupt-driven code, RTOS concepts) A/D systems and wireless communication systems Software development cycle management tools Embedded Linux experience (Debian/Yocto) a plus Other requirements Solid, responsible designer with good communication skills Solid experience and track record in the embedded software space References and work samples Other Salary and overall compensation commensurate with experience. Position reports to the CTO. We do not sponsor visas - permanent residents only
