Description: What is the specific title of the position? Sr Automation Engineer Work location? Remote Work hours (ex. 9am-5pm day/night shifts rotating shifts etc)? Migrating batch scheduler from AutoSys to Apache Airflow, automating Facets batches, troubleshooting batch failures, building CI/CD pipelines for the Facets platform, moving server infrastructure from private data center to private cloud Please describe the team the candidate will be working with - how many members? Platform Engineering team of about 14 members What are the top 5-10 responsibilities for this position (please be detailed as to what the candidate is expected to do or complete on a daily basis)? Primary Responsibilities: Migrating batch scheduler from AutoSys to Apache Airflow using a DevOps model (Python) Automation of batches for Facets and surrounding applications Support batch failures, researching root cause and driving problem resolution Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines for various technical stacks including .net, SQL Server and Windows Works closely with Software Engineering and Infrastructure teams to automate workflows and tasks, enabling teams to be self-sufficient In-depth working knowledge of distributive systems, cloud based solutions, database management and application server operation Acts as principal technical resource in engineering of the Facets environments Performs capacity planning, system maintenance, platform upgrades, technology enhancements and automation of all manual tasks Advanced performance and tuning Work within Agile scrum teams for troubleshooting application issues Provide off hours support Researches and evaluates alternatives and recommends solutions for system design Support problem resolution; consult and advise on application design and tuning; plan, organize and execute product benchmarks for capacity threshold and functionality Confers with appropriate managers / application groups regarding problems with and capabilities of Facets environments and provides documentation to leadership What does the ideal candidate background look like (ex: healthcare specific background specific industry experience etc.)? Required Qualifications: 3+ years of related IT Engineering experience 2+ years of experience working with modern technology stacks, .net preferred 2+ years of automation experience - Jenkins, PowerShell, Python, etc What experience will set candidates apart from one another? Facets or other healthcare experience Are you open to candidates that cannot convert to FTE without sponsorship? No What does the team structure look like how many members and what is the break-down of the team's skill sets (ex: 1 PM, 4 Developers, etc.)? 3 DBAs, 1 PM, 3 System Engineers and 6 DevOps Engineers responsible for automation of batch, CI/CD, Infrastructure, etc. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree Facets experience Python scripting experience Windows server administration experience UNIX platform experience SQL Database experience Site reliability engineering experience Build automation experience .net technical stack experience Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential job function of this role.
