Client Health Care Cloud engineering team develops services, controls, and reusable patterns that enable client product teams to deliver value safely, quickly, and sustainably in the public cloud. This critical work ultimately helps people live healthier lives and makes the health system work better for everyone. Individual will be working with a large team in building a new Kubernetes platform service to support clients multi-cloud modernization strategy. This engineer will also assist with building tools and scaffolding around the platform to aid applications to migrate between multiple container platforms. You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. IDEAL BACKGROUND: Experience in large enterprise in regulated industry. Healthcare-specific is a plus, but not required. TOP REQUIREMENTS: 3+ years of Kubernetes Administration 2+ years in at least one of AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform Integration 3+ years of software development experience such as Python or Golang What experience will set candidates apart from one another? Being an upstream contributor to various open-source projects as it pertains to cloud native platforms and related support tools. Self-driven starter that can continually provide contributions to meet Enterprise customers' needs. LOCATION: MN, Telecommuter options available Primary Responsibilities: What are the top 5-10 responsibilities for this position? (Please be detailed as to what the candidate is expected to do or complete on a daily basis) Developing new Kubernetes service from ground up Participate in on-call SRE support of a Production Kubernetes environment. Develop integrations of Kubernetes platform with existing enterprise tools via REST API Work with vendors on high priority issues Rotational 12x7 on call support with offshore evening coverage Define/Build/Support technical infrastructure environment for Kubernetes platform Define and document standards and guidelines Develop and automate repeatable tasks Consult with development users; determine requirements and recommend solutions Participate in product evaluations, design review session, data requirement meetings and consulting with application development products Contribute to open-source projects that we use to drive continuous improvements Qualifications Required Qualifications: What skills/attributes are a must have? 3+ years of Kubernetes 2+ years AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform 3+ years of software development experience such as Python or Golang 3+ years of experience working with application development teams 2+ GitHub 2+ years Python 2+ years Golang Willingness to participate in on-call support rotation Terraform or Ansible Helm CI/CD tools such as Jenkins REST API development Grafana, Prometheus, Thanos Preferred Qualifications: What skills/attributes are nice to have?
