Independent Risk Management establishes and maintains Wells Fargo's risk management program and provides oversight, including challenges to and independent assessment of, the frontline's execution of its risk management responsibilities. We manage risk according to the Risk Management Framework (https://portal.teamworks.wellsfargo.net/rc/CorporateRisk/Pages/riskmgmtfrmwk.aspx) and ensure all employees understand their individual accountability for managing risk. Corporate Risk roles depend on a variety of skills, including: Data analysis and synthesis, root cause analysis, change management, process management & execution, risk governance, risk strategy, risk identification & assessment, risk prevention, controls & mitigation, risk monitoring, reporting & escalation, risk systems & technology.Within Wealth Investment Management Compliance, this team supports the execution of the Compliance Program, providing oversight and monitoring of Banking, Lending, & Trust and Advice & Planning Centers of Excellence in Wealth and Investment Management. Governance of policy components related to Issue Management, New Business Initiatives, Compliance Learning, Third Party Risk Management, Technology & Data Management, Regulatory Change, and Policy.Key Responsibilities Include:Provide appropriate analysis and reporting to key partners and management, both in the front line and within Corporate Risk.

Evaluate and assess adherence to applicable regulatory requirements. Provide regulatory guidance to line of business partners. Challenge appropriately on Compliance related decisions.

Provide Compliance risk insight and support to projects and initiatives with low to moderate risk.

Review processes and procedures. Recommend enhancements to maintain risk standards and drive compliance with applicable regulations.

If you do not apply prior to the closing of this posting, we encourage you to apply for other opportunities with Wells Fargo.Required Qualifications2+ years of experience in risk (includes compliance, financial crimes, operational risk, audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, IT systems security, business process management demonstrated through work or military) or 1+ year in the foregoing or financial services industry and a BS/BA degree or higher in business or a related field

Desired QualificationsExperience creating reports in response to management, audit, or regulatory requirements

Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Ability to influence, partner, and negotiate with senior business leaders to gain commitment to accomplish business goals

Experience identifying inefficiencies, finding opportunities to streamline business processes, and implementing change

Experience assessing the adequacy of policies, procedures and processes (includes compliance and operational controls within a large complex organization)

Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

Knowledge and understanding of financial services industry: compliance, regulatory, or legal operations

An active Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) designation

Other Desired QualificationsExperience with regulatory analysis and application related to financial services regulations
