The individual selected will join a team of lawyers and paralegals who are responsible for providing legal support in connection with commercial lending activities and related compliance and operational risk support for the Commercial Banking line of business at Wells Fargo. Commercial Banking is a line of business that provides comprehensive financial services to customers with annual sales starting at $5 million in all 50 states and Canada. In addition to working with loan relationship managers on loan transactions, the individual selected will be working directly with senior leadership in the business line and the loan documentation centers to support Wells Fargo’s credit policy and regulatory compliance procedures along with developing innovative systems and solutions, including best practices that support the customer and advance the vision and values and goals of Wells Fargo.Required Qualifications5+ years of experience as a practicing attorney

Active State Bar membership

Desired QualificationsAbility to analyze legal and regulatory issues in area of practice and provide effective advice to clients on complex legal matters

Extensive experience conducting research and providing counsel and guidance regarding complex legal issues

Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work while handling multiple matters

Ability to work effectively in a complex environment with a high degree of collaboration

Effective in building partnerships, functioning well with project teams, and working for the success of the team

Other Desired QualificationsCommercial finance experience, including drafting and negotiating commercial loan documentation

Experience with real and personal property secured loan transactions

Experience interpreting a variety of laws and regulations

Providing legal guidance on new or modified loan or other bank products

Job ExpectationsAbility to travel up to 10% of the time
