Our market positions are an outcome of great work by employees who are committed to serving our customers.The Consumer and Small Business Operational Risk team is responsible for independently overseeing the regulatory and operational risk activities within Consumer and Small Business Banking. As part of the Monitoring Execution team, the Reporting, Automation and Dashboards team is responsible for the development, implementation and ongoing enhancement of a number of reports and dashboards that enable and inform front line risk owners and First Line of Defense partners to understand their risk management effectiveness across a number of active risk programs and measurement platforms.We are searching for a talented analytic consultant to develop, enhance, and implement data and reporting solutions. The consultant will build a strong foundation of data processes to consolidate information across detection channels, alert history, customers, team members and branches, enabling effective monitoring of point of sale risks, and enabling/developing robust risk reporting and analytics.The Candidate will be responsible for developing sustainable data and reporting solutions in an agile manner and will leverage this knowledge to facilitate the design, development and implementation of data and/or reporting solutions to support detection capabilities within Consumer Banking.Key responsibilities include:Independently author programs to efficiently extract data from source systems using a variety of SAS tools, such as macros, and SQL.

Identify and lead opportunities to streamline data sourcing, manipulation, trending, and output for automated report delivery.

Lead the design and implementation of BI solutions and define required supporting data architecture (e.g. data marts, centralized data sources, ad hoc data sources) for internal clients

Be able to tell a story with data that will allow our partners to visualize risk appropriately

Manipulate and process large datasets using the analytical and reporting features of multiple tools

Define requirements for and test data sources for reporting, and design metrics that measure control effectiveness, various risks, and KPIs

Participate in cross-functional project teams and provide guidance and training to teams in asking appropriate questions, interpreting data, and translating into action

Preferred work locations: Charlotte, Minneapolis, Des Moines, San Antonio and Phoenix. We will consider other locations in the Wells Fargo footprint.Required Qualifications6+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling demonstrated through work or military experience; or a Masters degree or higher in a quantitative field such as applied math, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting, finance, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, or business/social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative emphasis and 4+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling

4+ years of SQL or SAS experience

Desired QualificationsExtensive knowledge and understanding of research and analysis

Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Other Desired Qualifications4 or more years of experience using SQL to effectively and efficiently obtain data from SQL Server, Teradata, Hadoop and Oracle sources

2 or more years of SAS programming experience to collect, transform and deliver ETL/reporting

Experience using Tableau, Power BI, SAS VA or other BI software to develop informative reporting

Detail oriented and motivated self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and an innate curiosity and desire to improve legacy processes and data manipulation routines

Knowledge of Wells Fargo Community Bank products, sales processes, data and systems

Job ExpectationsAbility to travel up to 10% of the time
