It all begins with you.About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a Principal Engineer (Digital Technology) to act in a strategic role in the development and maintenance of architectures for a line of business or infrastructure sub-domain, ensuring compliance with the Enterprise Architecture. The Principal Engineer will be in charge of leading the practice and introducing the overall technical vision for a Digital Transformation solution. They will redefine the solution design process and focus on problems and end user experience. The Principal Engineer will lead solution designs working with business/technology and drive change that creates business value through technology innovation. Learn more about our career areas and lines of business at wellsfargojobs.com.In this role, you will:Act as an advisor to leadership to develop or influence applications, net work, information security, database, operating systems, or web technologies for highly complex business and technical needs across multiple groups

Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple areas or the enterprise, delivering solutions that are long-term, large-scale and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinking

Translate advanced technology experience, an in-depth knowledge of the organizations tactical and strategic business objectives, the enterprise technological environment, the organization structure, and strategic technological opportunities and requirements into technical engineering solutions

Provide vision, direction and expertise to leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions

Maintain knowledge of industry best practices and new technologies and recommends innovations that enhance operations or provide a competitive advantage to the organization

Strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers across the enterprise and serve as an expert advisor to leadership

Required Qualifications, US:7+ years of Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

3+ years of experience leading solution architecture initiatives

1+ year of experience with Cloud technologies

Desired Qualifications:3+ years of IAM (Identity and Access Management) experience

3+ years of experience in building and documenting software architecture specifications for a problem statement

Experience in one or a combination of the following: systems, applications, or architecture planning

Ability to work directly with business product owners to define the required future state

Ability to influence across all organizational levels, particularly senior management

Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate to build successful relationships

Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
