General Mills is seeking a Senior Associate Brand Management Consultant to work on a wide portfolio of brands on an as needed project basis. This is a CONTRACT position.Project assignments can usually last 3-6 months at a time. Project work scope will vary in experiences covering project management, analytics, P&L accountability, customer/channel strategy development/execution, brand strategy development/execution, product management, and leading cross functional teams.
Create purpose-driven brand/channel strategies for high priority brands that drive sustainable brand growth and deliver financial forecast (RNS & Profit)
Lead strategy execution of brand building, innovation, and/or business model ideas for to close gap to financial and volume targets in collaboration with cross-functional teams
Understand consumer and work with Consumer Insights team on deep dive business analysis to identify innovative business opportunities
Collaborate with experts across 4Ps to assess and evaluate solutions, orchestrate annual plan, and ensure execution across 4Ps is consistent with brand foundation
Lead commercialization of product initiatives that deliver annual brand plan
Provide tactical input and develop initial recommendation on all strategies across the 4Ps
Partner with Sales to create compelling stories to profitably win with key customers
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of work/internship experience
Background in:
CPG Brand Marketing, Finance, Sales, Consulting or other leadership development program experience (industry agnostic)
Large, matrixed organization experience
Skills – Financial acumen, strategy, leadership
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
MBA
Experience as an Associate Brand Manager or similar role
Strong analytic ability to translate data into meaningful insights and action
Ability to strategically choose levers to balance short-term commitments and long-term brand health
Understand P&L mechanics and how to impact topline and bottom-line drivers
Ability to identify and evaluate brand building ideas across 4Ps and make connections across other brands in portfolio
Ability to determine how to use 4Ps to achieve brand strategy and goals
Demonstrate comfort and capability with brands in all stages of growth
Ability to work onsite at the Minneapolis Headquarters
