Service Desk Technician - Tier 1 Minneapolis, MN (local candidates preferred, but remote opportunity as well) Ideal candidate has some recent education in the IT field with internship or on the job training skill set, with excellent customer service mindset and passion for technology. Offers competitive pay, great work environment and excellent benefits. Work Experience Preferred: • IT Experience: 6 months required; 1+ years preferred • MSP preferred • Escalation IT experience • Use of PSA/Ticketing system Additional knowledge, skills, and responsibilities • Ownership of assigned tasks • Coordination of service via phone, email using our PSA system • Being able to adapt and learn quickly • Ability and desire to develop relationships with clients and internal staff • Follow process and identify possible improvements • Time management skills • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills • Experience troubleshooting and installing servers, firewalls, routers, switches • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Server and PC products at a high level • Knowledge and experience with advanced networking principles • Ability to create network diagrams and other internal use documentation • Hardware, networking and PC operating system troubleshooting skills Preferred knowledge, skills, and competencies: • Certifications: A+; Network+, Security+ and/or CCNA preferred • Use of documentation platform • Use of ConnectWise Manage • Use of ConnectWise Automate HR Stuff: • Medical benefits • Company paid 100%/employee; option to add spouse/family • 10 days of PTO • 401K with 3% match after 90 days of employment • Benefits available after 30 days of employment • Must be able to pass a background check
