Job Description
Job duties of the Shop Runner:- Work with construction companies tracking parts inventory, job material, vehicles and equipment
- assist the shop manager with purchasing parts and supply inventory, maintaining small tool inventory and monitoring equipment rentals
- work with our mechanics to track asset repair costs, developing reporting tools to highlight patterns and fluctuations in vehicle and equipment maintenance costs
- coordinate invoice approval for all purchases made through the shop, including general ledger coding and job cost assignment
Qualifications
Job qualifications of the Shop Runner:- Must be comfortable in a casual environment
- Must be able to work with a variety of personalities
- Have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Accounting knowledge with experience in construction and / or automotiveindustries
- Valid driver's license
- Good driving record
- Reliable transportation
- Must be able to learn to drive a skid-steel and forklift for loading and unloading
- Must be able to load and tie doewn a trailer with various equipment
- Should generally know the highways in the Twin City area
