POSITION RESPONSIBILITIESThe candidate must:
- Effectively work with a variety of individuals ranging from various engineering disciplines (software, firmware, electrical, mechanical, systems) to reliability, regulatory and operations.
- Create, document, and maintain software/firmware components and computing systems software to be used to test embedded software.
- Apply the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the system development life cycle to support the generation of such engineering applications and a wide range of products.
- Support Manufacturing in troubleshooting operations involving medical devices through assembly and test
- Research and implement new technologies to enhance product features, improve reliability, and lower cost
- Provide technical assistance to other functional departments such as Quality, Reliability, and Manufacturing
- Work in an Agile environment as part of a team, in consultation with Engineering Management and project leaders.
- 5+ years of embedded testing and/or development experience with a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Computer Science, Software, Biomedical, or Electrical preferred), or 3+ years of experience with an additional advanced degree.
- 1+ years of direct embedded testing experience.
- Experience developing tools used to test embedded software with C# language and .NET framework
- Strong experience in technical specification, traceability analysis, and report writing
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to work in a multi-site team environment displaying strong collaboration skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to clearly and concisely summarize complex technical concepts and problems.
- Experience using Microsoft Visual Studio and Test Manager
- Experience with TCP/IP communication
- Experience with security techniques and protocols
- Experience with ARM Cortex M processors (preferably STMicro)
- Experience with real-time operating system (e.g. C/OS-II, FreeRTOS)
- Experience with cardiac ablation products
- Strong experience working with hardware, including the ability to read schematics, data sheets, and interface specifications
- Specific knowledge of international medical device standards
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to be independently mobile. The employee is also required to interact with a computer and communicate with peers and co-workers.

- Employee must occasionally lift and move up to 30 lbs
- No travel required if based in Mounds View, MN. 10-25% if based in Independence, OH office.
